Çiğdem Tongal

Cigdem possesses a deep fascination for individual wisdom and its potential to ignite transformative journeys for all involved. With over 14 years of experience, she has led diverse programs at the crossroads of academia, civil society, and the private sector. She holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Communication Management, with a focus on the intriguing realm of social entrepreneurs in Turkey, and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Galatasaray University.

Passionate about assessing social impact, crafting engaging narratives, and fostering participation, Cigdem combines her expertise in writing, the Art of Hosting, non-violent communication, and participatory practices to tap into collective intelligence to drive transformative change in a variety of sectors. Currently, she works as the Lead of Impact Assessment and Storytelling at HMD, where she teams up with civil society and private sector organizations by facilitating multi-stakeholder dialogic processes to trigger participatory transformation across the organization. She assesses the value of these initiatives and storifies their journeys.
